You are not stuck behind whoever has the most hours in the game. Season 0 has three boards that work in three different ways, so a sharp player, a fast learner, and a well-rounded one each have their own way up.
You're ranked on KOs per match, and nothing else moves your position. Wins and KO totals are shown beside your name but do not count toward it. Ten recorded matches to be ranked.
Your first five matches set your baseline, and it is frozen there for the rest of the season. You're ranked on the change between those five and your five most recent, so a beginner can top this board and the strongest player usually does not.
Six goals: KOs, style KOs, assists, counter KOs, MVPs and wins. Each one lights on its own as you clear it, so there is no combined ranking and no penalty for being strong in one thing. Light all six and you can enter the free sweepstakes.
Season 0 is backed by a prize partner putting real product on the line. Climb the boards and hit the season milestones, and the top finishers walk away with gear from the brand behind the league.
Two steps and you're in.
Sign in with Discord or LinkedIn, whichever you prefer. Signing the Esports 2.0 Pledge is part of registering, a short commitment to fair, non-toxic play. Signing the pledge is required to compete. If you belong to a WDBF national federation you can add it, but that is optional.
Everyone plays on the same private server, federation members and independents alike, with live leaderboards. Free play runs to December 31, 2026; Season 1 paid league play runs January 12–25, 2027, and the top of the standings play the Championship in the final week.
No gaming PC? Play on our machine instead. Cloud play streams the game to an Xbox, a phone, a TV box, a PC or a Mac. It is free, you book a half hour at a time, and the setup steps for your device are here: how to set up cloud play.
Signing the Esports 2.0 Pledge is part of joining. It is your word that you will play fair and keep it respectful, signed with your real identity when you register. Everyone who competes signs it.
By competing, you may qualify for prizes from our brand partners. If you do, we'll notify you and you can choose whether to claim it.
You sign the pledge as part of registration - there is no separate step and nothing else to sign.
Free play to December 31, 2026. Paid league play runs January 12–25, 2027 at $9.99 per player, ending with the Championship in the final week. Entry opens November 3, 2026.
Pick whichever you already have. Discord if that is where you play, Google if you want the quickest route, LinkedIn if you would rather register under your professional name. All three give you the same place in the league.
We only access your name, email, and profile photo. We never post on your behalf.
We send match schedules and league updates by email, and you can always find them on the league schedule page.
Yes. Street play on the league server is free all season. Register once and play whenever you want. No cost until you choose to enter the paid championship in October.
$9.99 per player enters you into the January 12–25, 2027 championship bracket. 70% of each division's entry fees funds that division's cash prize pool, so the pool grows with the number of entrants. In-kind prizes from TWT Audio are awarded separately.
Knockout City is 3v3. Once team invites are live in the next few weeks, you can look up other registered players and invite them to your team. Solo players also get their own 1v1 bracket.
Every match result arrives from the game server over a signed webhook. Anything unsigned or tampered with is rejected before it can reach a leaderboard, and every delivery is recorded whether it was accepted or not. Duplicate submissions of the same match are caught. Your knockouts, wins and MVPs come from the match itself, not from anything you or anyone else can type in.
Six independent goals: combat, style, teamwork, defense, mastery, and consistency. Each one lights up separately as you clear it. You do not have to win matches to make progress.
Play before the bracket opens on January 12, 2027 is your qualification period for seeding. Free play itself continues to December 31, 2026. How you play in that window determines your seed going into the brackets. Players who skip September are seeded on nothing.
January 12 to 25, 2027. Bracket matches are private matches, not street play. You schedule a window with your opponent, play it out directly, and the system records the result.
Only paid entrants are prize eligible. Free players compete and appear on the leaderboard all season, but the cash pool and in-kind prizes are for the paid divisions only.
Knockout City on PC via Steam. It is free. The launcher connects you to the private league server automatically.
Published here. Divisions, entry fees and refunds, how the prize pool is split, seeding, the best of three format, the neutral server rule and the seven day forfeit window. It also lists what is still being decided, rather than leaving you to find out mid season.
